   Proposal Description:
   This project is aimed at acquiring an initial data set for use as part of a Bayesian analysis to explore associations between the use of statins and the rate of decline in cognition and function among Alzheimer's patients.  Does a Bayesian approach detect a credible difference in the rate of cognitive decline for AD patients with/without documented hypercholesterolemia, and who are prescribed/not prescribed statins?  How does rate of decline vary with age is rate of decline greater in the Early Onset population are these influenced by statins?
